Default My B20vtec setup...

So i got my vtec installed on my b20 block. I have a b16 head with a P28 ecu. Right now, it's not tuned so it feels like a piece of crap. Another thing is that it's idling at 1600 rpm. from 3 to 4k rpm, i feel a little power, but it craps out until 6k rpm. Anybody know someone good to tune?

no...the p28 is chipped with crome, it had a b20vtec basemap on it, but when we installed it on the car, it threw a solid check engine light. Victor, the guy who installed my vtec head tried to see what was wrong with the chip, but for some reason he couldn't read the chip. Or what his program said was that it wasn't able to read the chip. What he did was just put a b16 basemap on just so it can work.

Try taking it to another tuner, look local for a crome tuner and see if they can get it.

that'll probably only get you 1 hour's worth of tuning. keep saving.

hey man i did basically the same swap in my teg. i did the b20b jdm block with b16 head and im running the p61 ecu from the 92,92 gsr and my car is kinda weird to. like some times it seems like it will pull hard but then again sometimes not. from like 2500 to 5500 it kinda like doesnt pull like its not getting enough fuel then once vtec kicks in it starts to pull good. i have no idea whats the problem. i just think maybe i need more fuel since its a bigger bottom end and it could probably use more fuel. if ya figure anything out let me know. i would like it fixed to

uhm...when the car is cold in the morning, it always boggs from 1500k to 2000k rpm, just just for the first few minutes though. would this be a dizzy problem, or mainly because of the untuned ecu?

Church charges about $150/hr....tuned my whole car in about an 1 1/2....good tune. If you got about $250 to spare, then you should be in good hands, but make sure that you dont have any kinda of mickey mouse crap....it just slows them down
