Default muffler installation HELP

I got me an RSR muffler (rear only). I tried installing it but it won't "fit". I mean the end pipe does not "lock" in with the OEM pipe. The muffler is made for my car but was part of a catback exhaust.
Will it be okay if I just use longer bolts so I can bolt them together or do I need to get it customized.
I am sure this is hard to understand what I am trying to say but for someone who had the same difficulty would know what I am talking about. Thanks.

a little help from a muffler shop might be in order, especially if the piping is different diameters.

Since it is from a full cat back, it will not fit perfectly

most likely the rsr b pipe was a different size/shape.

either get a custom b pipe or have a shop custom fit it on
