Default manual conversion on obd2b???

i know everything i need to do on the conversion but i know that 00-01's came with the key immobilizer i was wondering if i could use a 00 ls ecu for my car and everything would still work btw my car is a 2000 thanks for the help

if that LS ecu has a immobilizer on it you cant use that ecu(unless its the same key). unless u disable it or just get a chipped one. i have a 01gsr i took the ecu off and am now using a hondata/erics racing, its a P28 but the connectors where converted to a OBD2b.

i believe it has to be the same key that came with the ecu.
i think thats right.. someone correct me if i am wrong.

i dont think the one im getting has a immobilizer cause the guy im getting it from was using it in his 99 civic

the problem is i havent converted my car yet would i still be able to put it in and see if it works?

yes.. just plug it in and see if the car starts up..
you cant go wrong each connector is shaped different

ok the ecu does have a immobilizer but i did some research and found out that i can get the key reprogrammed for the ecu or just get it removed all together by taking it out of the ecu my question is could i take the one from my factory ecu and put it in the new one
