I have a 95 GSR with about 147000 miles. I noticed that when I first start the car on the MAINT REQ'D light or something like that flashes about 5 times then turns off. I dont think it did this before? ANy idea what it is? Perhaps just a scheduled tune up time?

I believe it goes off around every 3000 miles, to remind you to do your service. To resest it yourself, there is a green button under your dash near your gas and brake pedal.

just like u said...its acura's way of reminding you to take it in for service 
their is also a small blue button under the steering column if held while key is turned to last position before start...will turn the light off (i could be wrong with how its done, maybe somebody can back me up or show u the right way)

Cool thanks guys. Doesnt really bother me just making sure its not something that requires corrective maintenance. ill look for the reset switch tomorrow.

Don't worry about that, the maint required light comes on for all scheduled maint (not including oil changes). If there was a problem the check engine light would flash.

yea, mine started flashing alittle bit after 60k miles. i reseted it and did the 60k miles tune-up and all was fine.
