Default lsvtec problems

alright..i bought a 94 integra from a guy i knew. I wouldnt usually buy somthing like this but it was a great price and seemed everthing was done right. It has the lsvtec conversion plus many extras. he had a apexi vafc on it but took it off when he sold me the car to put on his new one. ran perfect, had perfect idle and everthing. a year later i put some new bearings and rings and while it was tooken off sent the head off to get a 3 angle valve job and seals and things replaced. now it has a very rough idle and starts smoking(black which means gas) around 4,600rpms(vtec comes on at 4,800). it has a mugen cpu. do the vafc save settings then when it sat there during the rebuild it reset and all i need is a vafc? or is it somthing else? i have tooken it to the dyno and is putting out about 20hp less than when the guy before me had it and i do notice it is running richer during those rpms(around 12.5 to 1 at the lowest point).thanks for reading all that and any replies.

either him or you did something wrong building/breaking in the motor...

how many miles are on it???

id get rid of the "mugen" ecu and VAFC in favor of chrome or uberdata and a good tuner...

If it ran correct on its original build its on you. All things fell apart once you tore down your block .

20 less ponies - more fuel= needs tunning ! and yes chipped ecu's suck

Yet after the build its putting out less hp and smokes.....Im glad you think thats "right". The vafc should have held your settings, so its probably not that.
