steaks? That wont work, I've done big smokey burnouts on an open diff. Look through the axle hole and see if it has a bar or if its open/has a disc. Bar = open diff, straight through = Type R LSD, disc = quaife/obx.....and Im not sure what kaaz and the other diffs look like.

Re: LSD trans (lol_on_v8s)
What type of LSD do you think it has? Is it installed in a car?

If the transmission is in the car, you can use this procedure to check for the ITR helical LSD:

https://honda-tech.com/zero...01367
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Dogginator &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Check it like you would check an ITR LSD (from the Helm manual):
Operational Check
Set the parking brake and block the rear wheels.
Raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with
safety stands in the proper locations( see section1 ).
With the engine off, shift the transmissionin to 1st gear,
Rotate either front wheel bv hand and check that
the other wheel rotates in the opposite direction.
lf the opposite front wheel does not rotate, or if vou
cannot spin the front wheels at all, the limited slip
differential is faulty and should be roplaced.

Rotating Torque Check
1. Setting parking brake and block the rear wheels.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle, and support it with
safety stands in proper locations( see section1 ).
3. With the engine off, shift the transmission into
Neutral.
4. Measure the rotating torque with a beam-type
torque wrench in the direction shown (top towards the rear of the car), Rotate the
torque wrench more than two complete turns and
take the maximum reading.
5. Shift the transmission into 1st gear and measure
the rotating torque again.
6. Calculate the rotating torque:
Service Limit:
(Measurement from step 5)/(Measurement from step 4) &gt;=2.5

7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for the other wheel.
