It's normal for the car to idle higher when it first starts up. Upon initial startup is it idling really really high? Play around with your idle adj screw...

If your idle is jumping up and down 9 times out of 10 its a vacuum leak or a dirty iacv, clean that, check for leaks and you will probably find your problem.

yeah probly a vacuum leak on the idle sensor if u still have the stock intake manifold it has a little idle sensor. its attached to the throttle cable and throttle body.

if you know anyone that has a smoke machine, try plugging it up, it will show you exasctly where your vaccum leak is, if indeed you have one. otherwise check your iacv.

Have you tried any of the suggestions?

Idle screw? Brake cleaner to clean out IACV? Feel for leaks/fog machine for leaks on vacuum hoses? Reset ECU? Timing?

More time under the hood > more time on the internet
