Default ls/vtec problems

The Car 91 acura integra Gs, 95 bottom end, 96 GSR Head, Arp head studs, oem head gasket, chipped pr3 ecu, vtec engages at 4400, OBX Intake manifold, axle back exhaust,Gsr throttle body,Air intake, Stock header.

The Problem OK ever since I put in the ls/vtec (about a week ago) the car has ran alright. It Idles fine and lower rpm performance has been good. At first when i would hit vtec it seemed pretty slow, like just as fast as my ls, but it screamed and it would rev up to redline no problem. Everyday though it has been getting progresivly worse. A couple days went by and when ever i hit vtec the car would surge and fight to get to 5500 rpms. Then today I was driving on the freeway and it kept getting worse and worse. When I would step on the gas it would bog badly and it wouldnt let me rev past 4000 rpms, then it kept getting worse and it wouldnt rev past 3500 then 3000 and now it wont rev past 2500 rpms if I try to accelerate past this it bogs and jerks and it WILL NOT REV ANY HIGHER. Even when the cars is in nuetral it wont rev past like 3000.Yet it Idles smooth at 750. My check engine light is on and its giving me a code 1 (because my o2 sensor isnt wired up) and a code 3 (map sensor).

The Things I Have Tried I tried wiring my one o2 sensor into both ecu pins but the check engine light didnt go off. I also pluged in a perfectly good map sensor but the car still runs like ****. I tried 2 sets of spark plugs, a different distributor, the spark plug wires are BRAND NEW, I also tried plugging in a stock virgin pr3 ecu and nothing has worked. I have also checked and double check my timing and belt tension. My oil has been topped off during all of this and I have checked and cleaned the vtec solenoid screen three times. I have also tried 2 sets of stock injectors and I am running 92 octane gas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like either the O2 sensor or map sensor, since the OBD is telling you that is what it is. Get the O2's properly wired and try again. After you installed the map sensor, did the map sensor code still come up?

If you didn't have it tuned, and you are running a cat, then maybe you progressively destroyed your cat with the extra fuel and it has caused a severe exhaust flow restriction making it seem like your car is fighting to accelerate. One in a million shot, but what the heck.

Thanks for the advice, turns out it was the cat. I hollowed it out and now it runs great!
