Default LS/VTEC IDLE PROBLEM

so i just finished up my ls/vtec swap, fired it up and the idle raises to around 4000 and stays there.. i checked my vacuum routings, IAC, TPS, Throttle cable adjustment.. everything seems ok. i'm wondering if for some reason the ecu needs to relearn or maybe it's an intake manifold gasket or something... any help would be greatly appreciated

i just finished wiring up my lsvtec had same problem mine went to 3k and held.........you need to adjust the engine idle screw by throttle body take the iac and tps off hold the trottle at around 1k rpm for a minute and slowly let the throttle down it should idle around 4-500 if not adjust the screw till it does after it is ideling where you want it shut the car off and pull the 7.5 fuse(forgot the name but its the one that controls the radio and clock...it says wich one on the fusebox cover) under the hood and hold it for 10-15 secounds while it sweeps the memory. then put it back in re-attach iac and tps and go fom there---i did this last night and this mourning. sorry if this is all running together i was trying to be fast.

regards, James

the idea is adjustable at the throttle body in 2 places. you can set the idea at what ever rpm you want.
theres the idel screw thaty is for fine adjustment when can only adjust so much and theres the course screw that props the butterfly open by where the throttle cable is connected to the tb
