Ok now i have a ls/vtec im running a ls dizzy , if i put a gsr dizzy would i feel any differents???

 

It would be the same as installing a complete racing ignition system on a bone stock civic. Nothing will change.

 

Im not sure if thats possible. This same subject was brought up in the past, and I remember specifically reading that Vtec and Non-Vtec distributors were not interchangeable. The ignition and coils are the same, but I think it has to do with the housings.

 

biggest difference is in the mounting tabs. The ls one won't fit unless you cut off one of the tabs and at that point you can run into the issue of having an oil leak at the dizzy. From what i have read this is the only difference, correct me if i am wrong. I tried to use my ls dizzy on ls/v and it would line up the vtec solenoid was interfering with it.

 

op, if u are in fact using your ls dizzy, then it has been cut to fit.. if u use a gsr dizzy, then itll bolt up fine with no mods needed.. there is no difference between the internals of the two.. if youre not having problems with the one in there right now, there is no need to swap it out..
