ls/vtec help.
i am getting all the parts togather to do an ls/vtec. so far i have the type R head, intake manifold and header. i know i need the vtec conversion threw golden eagle and vtec solinoid (anyone who has an obd2 solinoid for sale),distributer, wireing and ECU but after that im lost on what else i need to get. some help on what other parts and if anyone has any forsale would be wonderful.
B18 block.
Are you building the motor? or just slapping the ITR head a stock a B18 block?
You need:
Head
Block
GE LS/VTEC Kit
What car is this going into? If its going into an OBD2 car, then you also need:
jumper harness
obd1 ecu
someone to tune your car
obd2 dist
vtec solenoid
BUT I advise you to do more research and searching here on honda-tech because if you're building an LS/VTEC and still don't know what all you need, you shouldn't be tackling this job. It's a lot more expensive then you think (if done right).

OEM headgaskets work fine with extended head studs. you'll also need a VTEC waterpump and timing belt. depending on the mileage of your block, you really should replace your rods with new ones. your gonna have to tap your oil return line, and wire your solenoid with a OBD1 jumper harness. you can use any VTEC ECU, just get it chipped and tuned.
