ight i gota 99 LS auto w/ intake, headers and exhaust n im planin to swap a GSR tranny in
do you think i would be able to beat a 2000 SI w/ intake n headers?

Well you said dropping a GSR tranny in right? So that would make it a manual. Going from auto to manual makes like an extra 30 HP. Then you gotta figure in the weight of the driver. So i wouldn't out money on it.

If your actually planning on doing the auto to manual swap with a GSR tranny IHE you will give the SI a run for its money. Stock for stock when i go up against SI's in my LS i pull on him in 1st and 2nd because of the extra tq. but he slowly pulls on me in 3rd from vtec and then slowly leaves me as hes using the high rev to his advantage. I would assume with the GSR tranny though the shorter 3rd and subsequent gears would certainly help things.

Bench racing is highly frowned upon here. Race him at a track and find out. -2% for violating the forum rules. Locked.
