You should have kept the Firebird! j/k!

Before anyone rags on you, you'll want to do a "search" for LS/VTEC conversions. Also you'll want to spell Vtech correctly... it's "VTEC".

Good luck!

Yeah sry about the Tech just a habbit from school. I have another question. I was told by some guy that if i put type R springs and valves and such in a VTEC head that it wouldnt really need a turbo to run 14's? i dunno like i said im new to this scene. and i wanna run a turbo eventually but i dont know if it would be easier for me to just run a turbo on this D16A or wait till i get that VTEC head and then run a turbo.

sorry to burst your bubble, but u can't stick a b-series head on a d-series block.

just buy a b18a/b block and turbo it. you won't be disappointed. you'll see 13s if you can drive correctly, and 12s if you upgrade more... however, it's not free, and it'll cost you, but nothing can beat turbo for HP and straightline honda performance... (prepares for flame suit from N/A dudes)

Thanks obd2gsr. is there anythign i can do to this motor other then turbo? i wanna build this one up to as much HP as i can BEFORE I turbo. either that or what kinda car is easy to find a B series block in? money isnt the issue right now cuz im not gonna build this in a weekend its gonna be my daily driver through my last to years in high school. i just want to run 14's or 13's for now.

most people on this board dont know too much about the g1 teg, you should try http://www.g1teg.org , there is a lot more info about modifications that can be done. Make sure that you really want to throw a bunch of money into this car. Engine swaps and turbos will cost you thousands of dollars and if you decide to sell the car it wont be worth hardly anything. You might want to consider getting a g2 integra there is a lot more aftermarket support for that car and it will be easier to sell a modified g2 integra because there is higher demand, plus the g2 suspension is a lot better.

yeah the only reason im doing this car is cuz i bought it for 200 bucks. i needs a new front bumber and a paintjob. it runs pretty good but im gonna have to replace piston rings and valve stem seals soon. it smokes a little... but since u know i cant put a b series head on this D series block like i had planned i was looking at doing just a straight GSR swap or somthing along those lines. i dont really know if it would be worth it to spend around 3500 on the setup pre turbo and NOS and stuff like that. if that isnt worth it what would be a good swap to do. i am selling my 84 F150 4x4 for 2000 and all that money is going to just the engine in my Integra and if i can find a decent setup for around 3 or 4 thousand my dad is gonna loan me the rest till i can pay him back so if yall could help me out in that spot to. thanks for all the help so far

Why did you trade in that Firebird? I love the 69 body style. My friend had one in HS. Anyway, for tech articles, try http://www.team-integra.net They've got some really good articles (with pictures!). Good luck with the G1.

OK just so i dont look like a moron with the 69 Firebird, i didnt want to trade it but i really had no choice. i got 4 MPG and it was my everyday driver my integra gets 40 MPG on a bad week. and in a sence i didnt trade it totally some stuff happened i had to be red of it i got TONS of stereo stuff and a few car parts and i ended up selling them all and bought that 84 F150 4x4 and put some stuff on that. and then my dad found me this acura and i paid 200 for it cuz of the screwed up front end but in the long run i did better cuz my 69 was only doing 15's on 1/4 mile and it was costing me my entire paycheck everyweek to drive to work and school and then to race it on friday nights. but yeah i will trade the truck for a decent engine swap or something the truck is valued at like 2300 to 2500 deponds on where u live. 3 inch lift with 33's on 15inch centerline wheels 351W with under 8000 miles on it i got it rebuilt right after i bought it. got a DANA 44 upfront with warn lockers and the 4 speed is BULLETPROOF the clutch is VERY sound so hit me up with some offers or trades.

learn what car you have first. you can spend a million bucks making the thing fast but itll all be pissed away in a second from some stupid negligent act cuz you don't know **** about your car. you can spend 2k for a swap + 3k for a turbo kit + 2k for labor, or you can spend a year learning about your car and hondas, and spend 3k total and do the work yourself to have a sick turbo setup.
