Seriously, if ur going to dump that money into anything, you should go 5 speed or a manual shell. Sorry bro ik that's not what u wanna hear, but it makes the most sense.

If tranny is good then yes it can "hold" vtec. but you really can't take advantage of it, so what would be the point, you would be better off to keep it LS and witch to the 5 speed.

With that said, it is your car and you should do what you like, [or need to] to it, GL 94

Well...If thats what you wanna do than go right ahead. an obd1 p75 can be chipped and the auto functions are controlled outside of the ecu anyways.

That is a real answer. Unless you want to dump money on building up the transmission then it'll probably blow sooner rather than later. You'd spend more building the auto transmission than you would swapping in a 5-speed, and the 5-speed would be faster and a lot more fun in the end.

WTF does that image prove.....if you have someone building it for you and you found your answer than this thread is pointless. What you think the answer will change from 5 yrs ago? You end up losing HP because of how the auto's work.

Is not pointless I can do this transmission rebuild and blow up still? I just want to know who accomplish it because all I see 5speed can anything be auto for once?

You haven't searched enough...its been done and I believe the guy did have transmission problems. You're not stating your power goals with this ls/vtect build. But as I already stated these specifc generation automatics weren't meant for hp higher than they were rated for.

Automatics don't have a flywheel...just go for it already. You seem to be getting all defensive on what people are stating so I'm not sure why you even bother asking if you already know you're following through with it.

What are you wanting to see? That it works? Yes it freakin will work. Will you be able to hang with the 5spd dogs out there? **** no. Why? Because with the automatics you lose a certain percentage of your hp due to the behavior of the automatics.

Plain and simple. Now go hand everything off to your mechanic and hope to god he know's what he's doing.

Honestly someone should just take down this post... The guy is obviously afraid of driving stick and wants to go fast. If u wanna go fast in a auto get a V6 or a auto WRX....
