its more than just the car.... track conditons, tire conditons, the driver, etc all play a role, an integra has 20 more hp over the civic .....

 

this makes me laugh reading this all the time you hear people say oh an ls is a high 16 low 17 sec car haha theres youre proof there not that slow...

 

my old dx and my two friends dx's best time was 16.4 Hope my new ls is faster then that, better be.

 

My 91 LS ran a 16.72 about a week after I bought it (with 135k on it).. completely stock and I was not used to driving the car, let alone race it...

 

when i first took my car to the track back in may, i only ran a 16.8 but i did have old worn out tires, which i replaced two weeks later, and i only had my intake. now i beleive i should be running in the low 16's to high 15's and who knows what when it gets colder out here.

 

im going to the track tomorrow, im shootin for a 15.2

 

i would hope for better than a 15.2 dont you have a lsvtec oh and before i bought my car the prev owner ran a 10.7 on 3 cyls in my car wich is awaiting a rebuild...

maybe 10.7 1/8th of a mile

and "ls/vtech" isn't that great without a vtec tranny and/or high compression pistons, which he doesn't have either of. so a 15.2 would be a place to start

 

haha yea your right ryan i do have 'vtech', crap compression, and a STOCK LS tranny

someone on team-integra hit 15.3 i believ on his '01 LS with only tires and an intake. shows that the driver makes the car, the car does not make the driver... but the car helps.

 

i hit a 15.9 with just intake and the stock shizzy michelin tires... next time i'm going to drop the PSI on my tires for the first time and see what i'll hit then

 

first time run? dont be haten on yourself..just need to practice...work on those launches and complete the exhaust you'll be in the mid to upper 15's without a doubt keep at it man...lower that psi down to 25-27, that should help out

yeah i should have stated it was 1/8 not 1/4 but the next time i hit the track it will be with pr3 pistons and a set of jg303 cams hoping for low 9s wat do yall think...

 

oh yeah a friend of mine pulled a 9.9 in the 1/8 in a stock 94 rs and i was there and saw it so no bs on this one...

 

a long time ago when my ls was still an ls i went 15.6 (i dont remeber what i trapped at) with intake header and exaust and 35 psi

Don't rule out the altitude of a track. I know that alot of people that traveled to my area for Nopi Race Wars, (Bristol TN/VA), were pretty disappointed at some of the times they were getting.

 

yeah were i live we have one of the best 1/8 mile tracks...

 

A friend of mine hit a 16.0 in his civic dx with a CAI, and it was stripped.

Another friend of mine hit a 15.0 with clutch/flywheel, CAI, Muffler and BFG's..
In his 94 Ls.

 

When I first got my car I hit a 15.8 with a short ram and 17's(shitty kumho h-rated tires). Not to mention it was 90ish outside!!
