Default Ls set up

I have a 95 civic and I just bought a 95 Ls motor. I want to do mild upgrades to it but I don't know what. I already have the I/H/E, but I want to do cams and cam gears. I have tried researching but couldn't come up with anything. I kinda want to keep my stock valvetrain, but I want to hear everyones reply's. Can anyone post there setups, prices, and a difficulty level.

Thanks

Go with a set of cams first. Get a set of itr cams or s2s2 cams. They are a good horsepower increase for the buck.
I went with:
Itr Cams
Comp. Cams retainers and springs
Stock valves with a 3 angle re-grind
Ported head
AEM cam gears
Stock Ls bottom end- except pistons.
Itr Pistons
All this cost me about $1000 with out the bottom end

well he doesnt have an VTEC head. he has a LS engine so the itr cams wont work. get a set of CROWER cams. if u dont want to upgrade ur valvesprings (which i think is insane to do when u get cams) then get ur self a set of CROWER 62402 stage 1 cams. there good for maybe 8-10 whp. i would go with the CROWER 62403 or 62404 cams with the recommened crower valvesprings if i were u. u can expect to gain 15-20 whp from these cams. but u must get the valvesprings.

I have a set of crower 62403 in my LS with the valvesprings. best money i spent.....but as soon as i get a B16 tranny that wil be the best money i would have spent on my car. I got my cams foe $340 shipped and the valvesprings and retainers i got used for $170

Basic setup for LS motor:

I/H/E
CROWER 62403 or 62404 cams
B16 transmission
itr, ctr, PR3 pistons (all are high compression pistons)
some type of computer i.e. HONDATA, APEXI safc, etc

So All I need is the crower cam, and the valvesprings. Do I need new valves? Also, is the B16 tranny the best gear ratio? Cause I still need to buy a tranny and I don't know which one to get

Do lighter crank pulleys make a difference?
