trading my ek for an ls integra its a 98 with a 95 motor in it i asked if he did an obd change and he said no running obd2 ecu has check engine light and idles ok but when driving then you stop it surges 2 or 3 times any ideas any ideas on what needs to be done to get it right

 

check the fast idle valve. i wouldnt go straight to the iac valve.


sometimes the fast idle valve will come loose and you just have to rotate it.

what cel is it throwin

 

not sure the owner of the car doesnt know im thinking he just need to finish the obd change

 

I would do the opposite and use a jumper harness and run an OBD1 P75. Figure $100 total as the ecus are about $50 and the jumper harnesses are about the same. Good luck!
