Default LS to ???

ok heres the deal.
99 integra ls.. everyone knows the ls is a slug stock. car has 83k and new topend on it... options for me..

A)turbo kit and run 8psi on stock internals

B)knockoff type r pistons on stock head will make it 11.57:1, stage 2 cams, with a full race header and maybe individual throttle bodies with a tune.

im leaning more toward boost i've had several high powered cars and this is my first (bseries)integra....

Build an allmotor 2.1 LS/Vtec with Stage 2 cams. You'll be much happier, and take a lot more pride in your car. Boost is cheating. IMO. and you'll be payin out the *** for tuning if you want to get any nice power. + turbo lag = sucky.

Whats the milage on the motor?

edit: Sorry I just caught were you mentioned the milage. (just got up still tired)

I see alot of people boosting stock ls's with good results as long as the tuning is good. Of course if its more about getting your hands dirty with a complete rebuild then go LS VTEC.

it doesnt matter if you build a N/A or turbo setup. its what he likes....and boost is not cheating...it's just as much work as any other build

that depends on the turbo size; different size turbos flow different amounts of air at the same psi. psi doesn't mean **** without knowing what turbo you're talking about.

an na ls engine will be slow pretty much no matter what you do to it; if you want decent power out of it you gotta go with a turbo.

change your tranny to a gsr or b16. you will think different about your "slug" motor. boost and be happy.

we'll im good at tuning.. I had a gsx eclipse pushing 41psi on a gt40r from cheapturbo.com running 680 precisions and meth anything over 10psi.. at over 28-30psi i'd see a/f's in the 11.9-12.2 range..
anyway, im just looking for something nice to drive daily while i build another gsx. the only real fast honda/acura i've had was a h22 95teg, ran good but had no a/c, one seat a dash and shifter along with a one piece front end... I sold it about 2yrs ago.. I've never done anything bseries but I want a quick daily driver that'll be reliable.. car runs great has full greddy exhaust 2.5" and a short shifter.. im gonna keep the ls trans for the gearing im not draging the car and will be doing alot of highway driving on it.. anyway, I was just trying to think of something to make it a little peppy and look good.. dont want my rep tarnished driving a p.o.s... im not going to be racing it either no matter what gets done to it its a daily driver.. I was just thinking pistons to get a little ump with a type r style race header and individual throttle bodies would look good cruise better and be something different.. i was also thinking obx top mount gt35r nice fmic and run 8-10psi with meth above 5psi.. i appreciate the advice guys.. my plan is to in the future cut the front end off complete and do a ITR front clip put on at my friends body shop on the frame machine. but for now im just looking for something fun for a daily driver.. but yeah any advice is appreciated im very indecisive on it so far.
