Lowering problem
This is kind of a weird thing. everyone that i have talked to have never heard of it. Well recently i lowered my integra with skunk2 coilovers and tokiko shocks. well the problem was my tires were out of allignment. so les schwab insisted i go with adjustable ball joints. well heres the problem, the ball joint came through my inner frame and punctured 2 holes each where the bolt on the ball joints were. it seem whenever i have the smallest dip the bolts will hit and make the hole even bigger even though i dont have that big of a drop. i was wondering if there is something else i can use for my allignment problem that will not have any problems with it later on.
This is actually a common problem I've heard. It sounds like you got a camber kit (Les Schwab are dicks about it, your car isn't "safe" without one). I guess the only way to avoid this is to just not have one. Also, you said you aren't dropped that low, so I don't think you'd even need it in the first place unless it was for the adjustability (as opposed to correcting negative camber). Did they "force" you to buy one? I've heard that they have this rule that you can't leave if your car isn't safe, and they think negative camber makes the car unsafe.
well i dont have a camber kit, i looked into one but my tires were off by 1.5 degrees and les schwab told me the ball joints are the best thing for it. i was going to buy a camber kit but they said it wont work, and i put a 2 inch drop on the car, my tires rub but thats alright, just wanted to take care of the ball joints from hitting and causing more damage. Also i wanted to know if anyone knows how good the skunk2 upper control arms are. that was a suggestion by les schwab but i dont know if it will fix all of my problems.
