low low compression
ok so yesterday I went over to my homeboys house to check the compression on my 92 integra with a b18a. so the results were 1-150 2-150 3-140 4-130... My compression was really low and I do have a new headgasket so my homeboy told me that its my piston rings giving my really low compression output. Then after I put my spark plugs and plug wires back in and already, I tried starting my car several times and its just wouldnt spark. So we tried a few things and then he gave me his ignitor to use to see if that was the problem and so I installed it and boom it worked. So my ignitor went bad after checking the compression, but how? did it lose ground ? And also is it my rings giving me my low compression?
It could be your gauge. Numbers 3 and 4 are low compared to the others. That should concern you.
Many things can cause low compression. Piston rings and bent valves top the list.

Did you remember to pull the fuse for the fuel pump?
If you don't pull that fuse before, odds are you will end up with low numbers and you are likely to fry your ignitor coil. Replace your ignitor coil, and redo the test with the fuse pulled. Also remember to have the throttle open all the way (either prop it open or push the gas pedal down all the way).
