Hey I was just wondering what do I need to fix/replace in order to get the steering to be stiff again. The steering wheel moves way too easily and is not fun to drive. Any help is appreciated...

what kind of car do you have and what wheels?

 

98 gsr with swirles

 

Could be the steering rack, could be the rack's inner tie rods, could be the outer tie rods. You need to jack it up and see if there's any play in the steering knuckles and try to pinpoint where the play is coming from.

I just replaced my steering rack w/ the engine still in the car, NOT fun at all.

 

daym...that sounds kinda complicated... is it an expensive fix or just really time consuming??
