Default LHD to RHD Conversion

I know this sounds really stupid, but what would go into doing this? Lets say that I could get a RHD integra for 4k and a totalled integra (just for vin plates and stuff) for 1k... Besides this initial 5k, what else would go into the conversion... How much would it cost? Finally, it I did a very good portion of the work, how much would it cost. Don't give me bullshit answers like: "why do you want one... are you going to join the post office?" haha, funny... jackass. Seriously, I would really like to learn about this. Thanks a lot. BTW, i searched and all the responses all said: "dude are you going to join the post office?" and "haha that joke you said was funny... i think i'm going to say it again." please refrain from those answers and just give me a good estimate if i can do most of the work...

Have you considered just buying a RHD imported from Japan? It would be considerably easier, and if you wait for a good deal you could have it for just as much money.

As far as the "how are you going to go thru the drivethru window" answers.... you're gonna get 'em no matter what. Just pay no attention to them.

Your going to need a mig welder to weld the new clip on, a new dash, maybe a new center concel, new holes for brake pedel, gas pedel, and clutch pedel, and steering column. How much does the front clip include, what did you get with it? but the hardest part is going to be making sure it's really straight, a couple of degrees may not seem like a lot but you'll feel it.

I wanted to do the same conversion. To simpley cut the front clip off your car and the try to properly weld the new clip on stright would be impossible in your own garage. You could do it at a body shop but its going to cost more then its worth. You'd be in the 3-4K range for a good professional job. I have seen it done where you cut basiclly cut the entire fire wall out and reweld the RHD one in. This also is not just a walk in the park, you need someone that is skilled in the art of custom body work or if you feel lucky punk try it yourself. It looks like alot of woork but to me its well worth trying. I talked to lots of people and found a 98 Type R from japan for $8100 shipped to my door, I am in the process of finding out what hoops I need to jump through in order to register it and be able to drive it on the street. I have heard of needing crash test data on the RHD integra to be able to register it as a street car and not a kit car, or a race only. Either way I am going to use it for something as far as converting all of it to my 95 integra. Theres my 2 cents. peace

What if I bought a RHD integra and a junk integra and just swapped vins... two questions: one) how hard would it be? two) how could they find out? just turn the number on the dash to read the same as the totalled one...
