Default Knock sensor plug

I need to know what plug is connected to the knock sensor. There's 2 loose plugs that aren't connected to anything but people keep saying they don't connect to the knock sensor

That is probably for the power steering pressure Switch. The knock sensor one is generally gray and only has one wire (pink/ blue stripe)

Its a 1994 gsr shell. Engine is a b16a with an L's block, and I don't know what harness it has because not too long ago it was replaced due to electrical issues.

You made a previous post about the map sensor and a left over plug and low idle thats turns the engine off sometimes.

Is the engine tuned on a EMS or are you using a stock ecu or a chipped ecu? base map ect..

stock injectors?

You might have a GSR engine harness which would leave i believe two plugs left over from the GSR intake manifold thats not used on a B16 intake manifold or ITR intake manifold.

Get it tuned and see how it runs. Don't have a tuner? then have a tuner setup a base map tune on a obd1 with at least a hondata S100 to at least run the engine better than a stock ecu. You can't expect a stock edu to run a hybrid engine.

You can get it done for much less than that man come on!! theres free software you can use to chip the ECU and a tuner shouldn't charge much at all to at least put a base map on. But why would you build this setup but not factor in tuning it? you should of used a stock engine.

My dumbass bought it like that. That was one of the first things I was gonna do but I came across other major problems. So its not the knock sensor that's making it idle and die?

Save some money research the cheapest way to tune the engine and do it! it will never run right plain and simple. Look for a ECU thats already chipped with hondata and send it to a tuner and have them at least upload a base map if thats all you can afford.

Theres a hondata s300 ecu for like $300 here in the F.S section.

Knock sensor is not your problem.

Try cleaning out the IACV on the back of the intake manifold. Just spray it with brake parts cleaner and get all the gunk out as well as clean off the screen in there. Let it dry for 10 min and bolt it back on, just unbolt the two bolts don't disconnect the coolant hoses if you don't have two but if you do just plug the hoses with a bolt and pull out the IACV and clean it. Seach the sticky on the thread to clean the IACV here. Its worth a try to get the engine to idle right.

I know it won't run right without a tune but I'm just trying to fix the idle issue and the car dying. But I can't find the knock sensor plug

That harness uses a lot of plugs like that. Does that one have one wire coming out the back?

Taped or tapped? If its just taped with electrical tape then cut some of the tape back. If its tapped with another wire then it should definitely not be.

Get some better pics of the splice in the wire, is it just taped to another wire or is the wire tapped into another wire? did you try pluging it in and clearing the code to see if it comes back??
