Default knock sensor?

I just bought my car the first of the year and i've slowly been going through it and fixing problems. The other day i got a check engine light and i turned the car off and it went away when i restarted it. So i used a jumper in the harness in the passenger kick and the cel gave me 2 long blinks and 3 short which is the knock sensor. The funny thing is i when i finally found the sensor it wasnt even plugged in. I looked all over and couldnt even find the connector that should hook up to it. Is it just 1 wire or am i missing a part? The end of the sensor(connection side) looks like the end of a spark plug the end you connect the wire to, but it's smaller. The real problem is at random times my car will smoke blackkkkkkkk and hesitate like it has a pulse and its making me mad and my car look like a pos. Then later the same day i could beat it and it wouldnt smoke or hesitate, it's weird. The car is a 94' Acura Integra Gsr I think the motor was stolen or blown up because when i went to pick it up i noticed it wasnt a b18c1 it just said b16 on the block, but i found out its the jdm sir II style b16, it has the basic bolt ons, intake, header, exhaust. When i pulled the kick panel I noticed it has a p28 ecu and it says Kenji in black marker on it. Some one please try to help me!

The knock sensor is a single wire.
