Just another DC everything-build, thread.
Failure
I am doing a full wire tuck to the engine and entire bay. Also a brake tuck w/ stainless braided lines from a local hose making shop that puts out quality. I have also picked up a JDM ITR front end with the black housing headlights, hid's ect.

In the process of removing everything from the engine bay.

Now, Ive read a little about how to install the jdm clip. Im doing just the T bar. Spot welds drilled out, and a lil cutting yield results;

Its pretty straight forward. I did a test fit. The hid/headlight housings are bigger than I had anticipated. A little more of the frame must be cut back in order to properly fit the lights flush and bolt them down. A little more work to go

Now back to the motor. Since the b18b1 is total loss, I decided to pick up the black sheep; b17

. This motor will be getting the "built and boosted" treatment as the chasis undergoes the type R treatment. Plans are Ferrea valves, crower springs retainers, fresh guides seals and keeps. crower stg2 turbo cams. The bottom end will receive fresh'in up from the local machine shop. I will then go with Wiseco pistons and Eagle rods and the stock gsr crank. Specs on piston to wall and ring gap unknown until we see how much needs to be machined off. Turbo is likely sc61 with a log manifold and a nice tune by LHT. Looking for north of 400hp with excellent drive-ability. This list will be updated as I go along. Nothing is set in stone.

The other day I was in Joannes Fabric store (for whatever reason) and stumbled upon what i thought was a dope design on a fabric. So I decided to redo my headliner and door panels as a fun side project. More interior to come; oem Recaros; ap1 cluster conversion, ect. But here's this;

This is my starting point. Please no nonsense in this thread. Comments and constructive criticism WELCOME. Much more to come, this is my last front wheel drive honda hoorah so much to see here in the coming weeks. I will try and post as much as I can as time permits; as I work long days. Cheers!
Its my dads '79. Hes doing a lot of restoration work atm. Thanks everyone. I had some time at work to test out the JDM headlight HID's and they work great and are crazy bright. Even brighter than the ap1's factory HID's. Im taking care of arrangments to ship the chassis and wheels and valve cover the the body shop for work and paint as soon as I mount the JDM clip. A lil more tweaking and itl be a perfect fit. Paint will be championship white. Valve cover will oem style crinkle red. The rims will be interesting....and ill leave it at that
No major updates atm.

Why did you waste your time redoing a busted *** door panel. Why not source one in good shape first then cover it?
