JDM Front end problems
ok i've got a few questions here, i tried searching but came up with nothing
-The doors on my 94 integra dont line up perfectly with the body, i was wondering if maybe the bolts holding the door on may just be off, or if its frame damage. I think the doors are off of a 2000 gsr.
-my jdm front end doesnt all line up perfect, like the hood on the driver side with the fender, and the fender line to the front bumper is perfect, i was wondering if these are easy fixes or if a body shop would need to work on it.
-and lastly, I have a jdm hatch, and i hear a loud rattle everytime i hit even a small bump, i was thinking of laying weatherstripping in the runner on the trunk seams, to cushion the hatch, any other ideas how to make it sit right?

those problems could all be caused by several different things. There could be frame damage, but as long as none of the gaps are major, there probably isnt any frame damage, or if there is its very minor and i wouldnt worry about it. Typically, you can just losen the bolts holding the panel on and move the panel, then retighten the gaps to correct this. As for the front end, there is a chance then when the jdm rad support was welded in, they might not of aligned it properly, thus causing the uneven gaps in your front end.
the bottom line is this though, as long as none of the gaps are major, you can probably correct them by realigning the panels. You can do this yourself if you have some free time/a good eye, or if you've got some spare cash and just want it to look good and be done right, take it to a body shop, it probably would only cost like $100.
also, for your jdm hatch, is the latch assembly tightened down and aligned properly? it sounds like the hatch just isnt shutting tightly, i dont think you need to add any weather stripping, just figure out whats preventing it from sealing and shutting tightly

oh, an if you plan on aligning the panels yourself, start by aligning the gap between your door and quarter panel, then align your fender to the door. Repeat this on the other side of the car. Once youre sure the doors and fenders are both aligned properly, THEN worry about aligning the hood to the fenders/front bumper to the fenders (if it needs it). That might sound like common sense, but a lot of people start from the front end and work their way back, you dont want to do that.
panel alignment is a pain in the *** but IMO it can make or break a nice car. Just plan on having a buddy help you and spending like 2 hours to do it right.
