ITR Rear Sub-Frame Conversion
I've seen a thread here where some guy on here did this. However I can't find it! I think he had a 4 door. I've tried searching but with no luck. Anyone have any information to do this or know where that thread is?
It's the part of the rear sub-frame where you can utilize the OEM ITR rear lower tie-bar. I think Jay Smith did it also with his Laguna Seca Integra.

You can air chizzle your old subframe off, and spot weld an ITR one in (acura sells the ITR subframe), but its a huge PITA and I have to ask why, when there are plenty of other high quality lower tie bars on the market.
why not just use ITR lower control arms and mount the old-style Comptech lower strut bar along with the ITR sway bar. That will make it functionally identical. The Comptech strut bar mounts in the same way the ITR one does (the cheaper ones use the LCA bolts which is not as rigid a method).
Honestly I think the LCA bolts would be a better method.
With the rear lower tie bar, you are looking to prevent flex across the subframe. When flex occurs, what is going to happen? The LCA's are going to be displaced from one another. This is going to cause all sorts of dynamic alignment changes, probably for the worse.
So if you mount a bar that will keep them in line, it should work better than just trying to keep the subframe itself from flexing at the center.
