Default Internal Engine Mods

I was wondering if i was to replace my engine parts such as: stronger pistons, valves, camshafts etc.

Would this increase performance or would it be just a waste of time?

Thanks

If you replace them with the same spec parts it wont increase performance but it will make your motor stronger. If you replace them with parts that are made to increase performance it will. I think I typed that weird but for example forged pistons with the same compression as stock will be stronger than stock but won't give you any more power. If you get pistons with a higher compression then you will get an increase in performance. Rods are just replaced so the stock rods won't break when you're making more power. Valve springs are replaced so you can rev your car higher and not get valve float. Valves are kind of the same as pistons, if you get oversized valves or get any machine work done to them you will get more air flow. Camshafts will allow for more flow based on your application (naturally aspirated or turbo)
