Default Interior

So i have a tan interior...and i don't like it. I wanna go all black inside, i already replaced the carpets, and i'm gonna get black leather seats soon enough, but for all the dash and trim work...does anyone have an idea on how much that would cost? or would it be cheaper to scrounge on ebay and buy everything piece by piece...?

and for anyone who has had their interior painted...how much did you get done and how much did it cost?

Don't get it painted. If you dig around through some junkyards you'll find the necessary components. I can replace a dash in under an hour, and replace the rest of the interior in a solid half hour. Someone who's never done it before can get it all done in an afternoon.

i would like to do the same thing. My main concern is the dash, how hard is it to switch over? I didnt really want to do any thing inless i was going to be able to do the dash. I just goot a green GS-R with tan cloth and i just dont like the tan its not aggresive enough, i dont feel like im in a cool car.

It's not that hard to do. There will be a few screws that you won't get at first due to some good hiding, but it shouldn't take all that long to get done. I have a 96 Green GSR as well, I don't mind the tan interior, it's kinda different to me. No swap for me, the color has grown on me.

removing the dash is pretty easy...it's just time consuming. the hardest part for me was removing the main wiring harness that goes near the fuse box. There are a ton of screws to remove the upper dash from the lower section.

yea it might look intimidating, but it really isn't hard at all. as stated u can get the parts cheap from the junkyard which is always bound to have an integra. The prior owner of my car changed the color of my interior, I think he said he powder coated it or something
