About how costly would it be to go switch out your interior from tan to black minus the seats on a 96 GS-R?

 

It varies. I've seen entire interior pieces + cloth seats for something like 500-600 on ebay if i remember correctly.
Do some search on ebay and here. you should be able to have a general idea of how much those things usually go for.
I'm broke so I decided to paint my interior rather than replacing it. You might be interested in this option. hope this helps.

My friend is currently changing his tan interior over to black. He says it's a PITA but will be worth it in the end. He bought another integra that had black interior, ripped it out, and then installed his old tan interior on that integra. He also swapped some other parts but now I think he's going to sell that second teg soon.

 

It's easiest to buy a salvage teg for like $300-500 w/ black interior and just swap it out

Varies... can be expensive. Dash, lower panels, rear panels, speaker covers, headliner, etc.. I was going to do this swap too until after much research I personally didn't think it was worth it. What I did was made a black/tan interior..Bought Leather seats (front/ rear) and put those in. Painted my speaker grills black and had my doorpanel redone in black. (just the part where the carpet it) my switches are black, all vents, steering cover, lower panels, and shift console and armrest are all black. I think it looks nice with black/tan. Good luck on yer swap..it will take some time to get all the parts yer looking for.

Here in LA junkyards and pick a part places... they know what parts are worth and strip them as soon as they get them then sell the parts private. I went there a few weeks ago.. and every teg had no interior. The guy said... well I have a few things. I'll give you this armrest for 100.00.. hahaha
