Is the integra worth it?
I am reading about alot of people saying the integra is still slow after a bunch of mods, is the integra really capable of doing damage on the street, or does it just do alright? I really need to know, because i want one. Dont want to get my self into something and regret it.
if you want a stock fast car go with a wrx
0-60 in 5.1
you can get a integra to that speed, it just takes time.
it'll cost you less than 20 G's to get an integra faster than. tuning cars is a hobby.
if you really want to have fun....
get a 94 LS with a hella lot of mileage...
get a new LS engine, turbo it up to 30 psi. gut the car... and you can **** up that wrx.

if you THINK you can come up with money for major upgrades such as turbo, nitrous, or a supercharger. then get a honda. lol
when i first bought my car, i had all these plans for it. but then i realized all those plans would have costed a lot of money so i decided to go the semi show route and get hids and flashy rims. but now i wanna turbo my ls
edit- your 2nd to 3rd shifting sucked. and your launch sucked. hah
(so does mine)

I look at it like this, LS Teg = Economy car, correct? (So RS means Rally Sport... Right.. Okay...) But it's still a economy car, I'd rather have an economy car that I like smoke z06's, yeah it'd be hot as hell to own a z06 but who spent the $50,000? Not I sir.. Not I.

Before people reply with "my b00sted gsr 0wnz stangs y0" I am referring to a stock NA Integra.
It is capable of doing damage to cars in its class. Sure, a worked stang or stock ZO6 will smoke it but they are not 1.8L 4bangers. The Integra holds its own for cars with similar sized motors thanks to VTEC. Even the B18A\B without VTEC do pretty well vs. other cars with 1.8L motors. The only drawback with integras, as you may have heard, is thieves love to steal them and sell the parts to ricers to make a few bucks.

integras aren't all that fast and require lots of money to make them go fast, which is why i stopped modding my car. but still they are really fun cars to drive around in. i still like my integra.
Get a RSX-S. Or if you want fast that will last about 6 months, the SRT-4 is for you. Teg's are still fast, I mean how fast do you want to go? You can't go the speed of sound, I'm sorry. But you can go damn close in a teg.
Especially with teh b00st.
<edit>Oh, and I have a teg too. I like it for what it is, even if it is an auto...
Reliable and you can't beat the gas mileage. And it's STILL a fun car.

NA all the way mayne......
Its true that you can't get a lot of horsepower without bolt ons.....
but think about it this way - Integras are cheap, look good, are faster than most NA 4cylinders, and are reliable
How can you go wrong?

Spend a few bucks more and get a used ITR. They're great out of the box and have more power and handling potential than an LS or GSR comparitively when you spend dollar for dollar if you go n/a. If I could have gotten an ITR in '99 I would have instead of my GSR.

If you don't have a garage and a beater dont buy an ITR.

I'm going to be getting a 2000 GSR 5spd in a couple of months. Is it true that Integra owners do not have to do a lot of maintenance on their cars because they're that reliable? And do you think the good gas mileage makes up for having to buy Premium fuel?

bah.......knock sensors will just retard the timing to keep it from knocking. you're not going to blow anything up, you just won't make as much power if you use pee-water instead of 91+.
