ok I just wanna know how I can tell Type R tail lights from GSR and from regular integras.


Let's start with 2 doors:

All red and white reverse - Type R & GSR
Red, yellow corners, white reverse - LS

4 doors:
All red and white reverse - Type R & GSR
red, yellow corners, and white reverse - LS


are the newer 98+ 4 DR. Integras all have the "all red/white reverse" lights?

correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just trying to get the facts right.

What about the completely all red ones? is there such thing? I've seen those APC ones but I think I've also seen the OEM ones.

The orange cornered tails are on all the older body style tegs. And the all red except the reverse is the newer ones. i think they changed in uh, 97 or 98?
Along with the body style, but I don't think there is any difference unless you start going into the whole jdm/usdm argument with the tail-lights of the same year.

 

USDM:
94-97 amber signals with red brakes with reflectors.
98-01 red signals with red brakes with reflectors.

JDM:
94-97 amber signals with red brakes with no reflectors.
98-01 amber signals with red brakes (but red on the taillights are brighter red like on the USDM 98-01's) with no reflectors.

UKDM:
94-01? clear signal lights with red brakes with reflectors.

 

all usdm 94-97 have the same tails..
all usdm 98-01 have the same tails..
special taillights were never made specifically for the type r..

there is a difference between jdm and usdm.. in that the jdm tails do not have a hole for the small bulb for the very outside of the lights.. and.. see picture below..

im guessing you didnt read or just cant comprehend....it was explained in the above replies.. the usdm gsr and itr lights are the same.

but teh ones pictured are 98-01 with a tinted reverse

94-97 usdm deff had amber in them..

 

^^ Someones a little color blind. There is orange [an obvious representation of amber] in the picture for the 94-97 usdm.

 

Not color blind but the pic has all red on my phone.

try a junkyard, craigslist, ebay, etc.

 

I think he is just asking if the type r taillights are any different than gsr taillights, not the difference in years and such(not trying to sound like a jerk), i dont think there is a difference at all between the type r and gsr taillights of the same year
