its very possible but requires a tad bit of modifacation. from my experience id just stick with the stock size and "match" your system to a subwoofer.

No way you're going to fit 6x9s in the front. You may in the back locations but it's going to require you to pull out the whole side plastic parts that go from the doors back to the rear. Then you'd have to make some custom pieces to mount the speakers too. It probably wouldn't sound any better than the 6.5s because the holes aren't that big in the sides.

Believe me, you're going to have a hard enough time fitting aftermarket 6.5s in there to begin with. I needed to make spacers for all 4 because the stock plastic baskets weren't deep enough and the actual holes were too small in diameter. In the rear I had to pull those 2 side plastic pieces (major PITA) because I couldn't physically fit the 6.5s in the hole with the grill on it. If I had to do it again I would have just gotten 5.25's at least for the back.

I think 6x9 in the back wouldn't be hard since there's plenty of room in that panel. You just have to screw on some custom brackets. The front might work if you cut the metal circle into a big oval, but you might have a problem with the sides of the front speaker touching the plastic cosmetic panel. It's on you, but I would stick with 6.5 but do it component style.

Go with Infinity Speakers. Clean, loud, beautiful. You can fit 61/2" in front, with minor mods, but the back, you may be looking at more work... Just my $0.02 -ekzrated

if you have a 4 door gsr you can fit 6x9's in the back. There is a hole for 6x9's in the back of coupes but funny enough you cant fit one back there... aftermarkets do have a hard enough time fitting in the back, and you usually have to take off the grille because the tweet comes out too far
