Default Integra exhaust mod

Just picked up an N/a muffler. The HKS Hi POWER TI and going to put it on tomorrow. Umm would this be a good setup for a custom exhaust (2 1/4 piping from the cat and keep the stock resonator on and the muffler really slanted) ?

i dont think you can keep the stock resonator considering how the stock pipe diameter is like 1.6 or something.

everyone here will tell you to get mandrel bent piping rather then crush bent.

local shops usually dont do manrel bends cause the machine cost alot...they'll refer you to kteller.com .

you're best bet IMO is to get a full cat-back exhaust. its worth it. gl

yeah and a really slanted muffler won't help anything except for.... well ok it helps nothing. go to an exhaust shop usually for steel galvanized its not too expensive.

i just like the looks of the slanted tip rather than just straight. But I don't know what to do now since I got the HKS muffler already and dont want to pay for the whole catback. Mandrel bent piping is the whole pipe?

Do the whole exhaust system with larger piping and a resonator.
Unless you want your car to sound like a [freak]ing weed eatter.

It's all a waste of money unless you upgrade the whole system. Catback only at the very least. I would suggest a header to. If you just bolt on a muffler, i hate to say it but it's kind of a ricer move. Save up and do it right, so much more woth it.

Take it to an exhaust shop and have them set you up with piping from catalytic converter(or lack there of) to the new muffler. Stick with 2.25-2.5" for a basic N/A set-up.
FYI if u remove the catalytic converter you may through a CEL code.

I'd say go to kteller and get a full catback exhaust system from them. That's what I did and I think it came out great. I'm running full 2.5 inch piping with a N1 muffler. Kinda loud but it sounds great.
