Default The Integra Blues...

Hey guys im having problems with my baby....
So if you guys have any suggestions to what i should do, please share!

Here they are:
1) Well my friend has a lowerd teg and he says he feels the same thing but i can't beleive that the car was desgined like this. Whenever im on the highway and i put it in fifth...after a bit the car starts to sway. One second it will pull to one side without the steering wheel moving at all...then i counter it and it suddenly goes the opposite way. It only happens in 5th. My gut feeling is their something to do with a huge rotationnal mass somwhere that acting retarded.

2) well whenver i put it in 5th gear its grinding and its hard to shifht from 1st to second. its like trying to put on a pair of shoes thats to small....you have to force it till it just gives and you slide right in. It doesnt grind in 2nd at all..it feels like a rubber band is holding my stick back. I would also like the mention that the 5th gear grind doesnt happen all the time....but its getting more frequent.

3) Im burning like 1/3 of the oil in like one to two weeks...its really ridiculous...i see a bit of puff in the exhaust but not enough to burn that much...im not leaking anywhere in the engine compartment....

i think it might be beneficial for you to help us by listing what kind of integra you have. age, mileage, motor. is it completely stock or anything modded?

I think your tranny is starting to go

you might want to get an alighment check, it might happen only in 5th because you are most likely to notice bad alignment at high speed. I have stock suspension but bad alignment and it would sway a little at 70mph + which was repaired after an alignment

maybe busted rings for your engine, not familiar with that area

I get the first thing you do (at least all you said in number 1) I don't think it's my allignment because I've tested it a lot at lower speeds and it seems to go straight as an arrow. It's really frustrating on the expressway losing control like that

its funny you mention axle because when iwas looking at the car 3 months ago b4 i bought it...it had a torn cv boot.....and a result of driving alot with that gone bad is a seizing axle....so mayby it has been damaged due to that....ill look into that...i will go get an alignment just in case..but it hasnt been 20 months since the last alignment was done.
