i know i have come across the answer to this before, but i forget. i searched and came up with a few sale threads and intake manifold threads. im upgrading my intake manifold so i want to get rid of my gsr aem short ram intake and ditch it for one that will fit. i know that the type r and ls style will fit for that manifold design...heres my question: are they both 3 inch in diameter?

and also, why cant i find a short ram application for a type r on aem's webpage?

the larger intake size isnt always the best. some concept as exhausts.

yea that should do....lol, why not just get a ebay 3inch intake and get a k&n filter?

 

I have the 3in Racing sports Akimoto with couplers no filter 20+ shipping.

go on ebay and buy a cheap *** 3" short ram for the ITR. It will work and be cheap.

It couldn't get any simpler than this. I mean c'mon It's just a pipe, some silicone connectors, and a filter. Why does it have to have a brand name on it?

 

im not lookin for a brand name, when you search ebay however...you get a lot of results that you're not looking for. if i look up type r intake, i get the brand type r this and that and all that stuff. i would actually prefer just to get an ebay intake because of how cheap they are and stuff a velocity stack on the end of it and call it a day.

My 90 LS AEM CAI is 2 3/4in

 

my ebay ls intake is 3 in.

 

have a link for a 3 inch ebay intake? all of the ads im lookin at dont specify diameter, and if i type in type r for the search forget it..
