will a short ram (any kind...ie Ebay special) fit in the stock air box? If so do you have pics of it?

 

i dont get it???? in the stock air box??? do you want the filter element to "fit" into the stock air box?? if so, i dont really know. jus get a intake with a heat shield, or CAI, or drop in filter element(spoon), or even make your own heat shield. good luck...sorry if i couldn't help.

 

well I like the idea of the DIY icetake from BSQ, but instead of running a comptech or K&N drop in filter, I was thinking of using a shortram. like this, and if the comptech box can use the OEM arm and a short ram, can it be the other way around like the stock box use a short ram. maybe i answered my own question, but I want to see if anyone has put a short ram in their stock air box.

I've thought about this before and even if you got lucky and found a short ram that will mate w/ the stock airbox, the advantages/gains would be minimal to none than just using the stock rubber intake arm w/ a K&N. Hope this helps.

I am soon going to assemble a DIY icetake as well. I plan on using a K&N
