a few years ago i changed to a Skunk2 Manifold, while i was at it i bought the thick blue hondata gasket, for those of you that don't know, when you use this gasket you can no longer retain the factory IM studs because the gasket is so thick that once the gasket and IM is on you will only get maybe 1-2 thread engagement on the nuts. So your option is to get longer IM studs(what i should have done) or use bolts in there place (cheaper and is what i did). Well now my gasket has gone bad.... again..... and i just want to ditch these bolts and go back to factory studs since i went back to a factory gasket, but my problem is i apparently lost those factory studs, is there anywhere i can get these besides honda dealer? anyone know how much they are? also do all B-series blocks use the same IM studs? if so i will have to order them for a b16 seeing as how we don't have an acura dealer here.

 

Im pretty sure that the B16 ones will work fine. I went to napa when I needed some new studs.

 

did you tell them what it was for or did you have to bring one in and match it?

 

The thread pitch is M8x1.25, so take one into a hardware store and find one with similar lengths.
