installing bump stop?
jw but is this the way the bumpstop supposed to be installed with the skiny side facing on the bottom and the fatter side faced on top? i saw the video on skunk2 on how the put their coilover setup together and saw that they installed the bumpstop the other way with the fatter side on the bottom and the skiny side on top.
is it supposed to be like this? cause this is how i have mine installed

Unless the bumpstop is enclosed in an extended upper shock mount, then it doesn't matter which side is up, and will function the same either way.
If it is stuffed up inside the upper mount, then the fatter side should be up. It probably won't make a difference in this case either, but it could.

i think that only applys if you remove the bump stop completely...not sure, the bump stops are way to large for the amount of suspension travel left after you lower the car. You only have about 2 inches if that of strut travel once you compress the spring onto the strut. Cutting them in half allows the strut to move a little more, thus allowing your ride to have a little more give and be slightly smoother over bumps.
the spring controls the height, not the bump stop, the bump stop prevents the strut rod from hitting the bottom of the strut itself internally, thus causing damage to the internal mechanism of the strut.
