installing ac into a dc?
how hard would it be to install ac back into a 00 gsr if all the lines were taken out?
would the lines have to be from a gsr or could it be any model integra?
anyone got a write up?
tried searching but dont know what to search for and ac is too short for a search.

I would go to acura web site. Look to see if it is the same part number from a gsr to a ls. Than after that check by year. If it is all the same part number. It is the same thing for every year. Might want to put up your finding for others. Just so you can save some one else the trouble.

when i went down to school in florida, I needed ac coz it would rain n the windows would fog coz of the humnidity and I couldnt see a damn thing. I had the ac removed when my gsr was turbo'd. Since it blew, I replaced it with an ls motor for the time being, (FULLY BUILT GSR HEAD IN THE WORKS). Anywho, I went to acura and ordered all the lines ( almost $2500) and pieces i no longer had and reinstalled the ac. Since I got the lines for a 99 Integra, no model preference, it still fit perfectly into my gsr. Assuming this, the lines are all the same.
not hard at all. juss bolt in the compressor and condensor. install the lines, they basically shape out the direction to go and where they belong. play with it. juss fyi, if you haven't used your compressor in a while and left it out in the open, it might be wise to get a new one.
If they pulled the evaporator under the dash, I picture the difficulty being quite high. If it just the underhood lines, it may not be bad. After everything is installed, you will need to leak check and use a vacuum pump to pull the air from the lines before charging.
For the part compatibility, check the part numbers using the link in my signature.

If you still have the lines to the evaporator, you could do it in an afternoon. Its a matter of reinstalling all the parts and refilling the system with freon. If you need the parts, PM me because i have a complete AC system out of my GSR just sitting in a rubbermaid container in my garage.
