Worth changing blocks?
Sup ht, just wondering if it would be worth it to change the block on my b16a2 for a b18c block. I found a b18c block for $300 with everything except the rings and bearings, seems like a good price to me but would the end result be much better then my b16 now? I'm planning on turboing it in the future.

a HOLE ex the rings and all for $300?the top end goes for that much and yes, due to the higher displacement of the engine it would come out 100% better than that b16...it just feels more meatier if you know what i mean .for $300 you just cant beat that price man!In my opinion a b16 is nice but a b18c is were it at there's just more low end power in that engine.. in the end its your choice!

Re: Worth changing blocks?
I'll try and pick it up but something seems off. He told me it only has 90k miles, that's pretty low.
Edit: Would a b18c block with a b16 head make the same power as a gsr or more?

can, depends on the pistons. the nippon usdm itr piston would be a good choice for an NA build. they are slightly larger than the usdm dome. be real easy to hit 11:1 compression if you shave the head slightly to true it up
b18c block and pr3x head is the casting of an itr

I would say 200 to 250 for a C1 block.. Your prob going to need to et the block decked, hone, and rings and bearings might also need a micro polish for the crank.
