what does it mean when people talk about injectors and say they need them saturated

There are two different types of injectors...peak and hold, or saturated. You really dont NEED one or the other, they are just different types. Saturated are a bit more convenient, simply because peak and hold require a resistor pack...but both are just as good as one another and serve the same purpose.

In addition,

Peak and Hold=low impedence
Saturated=high impedence.
