Default Injector Cap problem

Guys,

I bought a used set of JDM TEg Type R injectors 290CC from someone on HT couple of months ago, I will use them in my SIRG RHd JDM 10.6:1 compress, 180hp.

Now > 1 of the Plastic cap(just where the needle is) is broken, so a piece is still in the injector fit hole.

How can I get it out, since its hard and can someone help with part# for NEW plastic cap since I cannot finf here in local autostores.

If not , Can I use this only injector without that needle plastic cover, since this part will be in the IM?

Rishi

FYI, the JDM ITR injectors are the same as all other B-series, 240cc.

Did the person who sold them to you tell you that?

GEE,

I know they are 290cc> why>

I checked with HONDA DEaler in JAPAN VIa my car distributor CAMELJAPAN.com
I got them from someone on HT stated they were 290cc and he knows his stuff, dont remember his membername, bought these like 8months ago
I brought them to a shop to clean, a flowtest was done before washing them, flow results 290cc .

So, considering all these 3 strong ppoints and the link below, I have to admit these are 290cc, make sense too, a JDM ITR is more than logicall that must have bigger FUEL injecotors than 240CC, since compress ratio is 11.1:1.

The link you provided contradicts your own statements, and indicates that they are 240 cc. In all my years on Honda-Tech, I have never seen any substantial proof that the JDM ITR injectors flow 290cc. There has been occasional speculation, but all of the evidence I've seen points to them being identical in flow rate to all other B-series injectors (240 cc). The argument regarding the JDM ITR's higher compression isn't very compelling, since any additional fuel the engine might require (which I would wager is minimal, if any) could easily be provided via ECU tuning, a different FPR, or both. Of course, if someone were able to provide actual back-to-back flow comparison tests comparing JDM ITR injectors to known 240 cc B-series injectors and confirming them as 290 cc, then the debate would certainly be put to rest. However, to the best of my knowledge, no such data has ever been presented.

It seems like people have done tests to prove both sides, so I don't think it's worth arguing over it. BTW, why would an increase in .5 points of compression require 50cc larger injectors when all other B-series use 240cc, from the 9.2:1 LS to the 10.6:1 ITR?

Well, the Link shows that others stated the inj are 290cc.

I know from my sources that the JDM ITR has 290cc, the JDM ITR is definate not the same as the USDM ITR.

I will see the outcome when I test them out, still No answer for my questions, about the CAPS.
