igntion rotor question
im not a big honda/acura guy, but my distributor went out recently, so i bought a used one off ebay and put it on and everything works, the only problem is the rotor needs to be replace. It does not have a set screw that holds it on, it just pops off and on. So my question is there any hondas that uses a ign rotor without that set screw, i bought one from autozone to see if would worked and i slide that rotor but was really lose. i have contacted the seller from ebay and yet to hear a response. so i need help what exactly to look under for this rotor that pops on. any help would be greatly apprieciated.
Buy a new rotor from you local honda/acura dealer. There are some distributors with a rotor that doesnt use the typical screw to hold it on.
MM&Y of your car would be helpful.

Really? I've never seen them without a screw, well only when the screw has backed out, which isn't ok.
What distributor is screwless and how does the rotor stay on?

The distributor I purchased from distributor king a few years ago did not have the screw. The rotor had a snug fit where to get it off you need a flat head to push it out. So yes there are distributors that do not use the screw. Why? I have no idea.
That's what I thought, but when I took off the rotor that came with it there was a slot for the screw. So when I installed a new rotor I also installed the screw with it.
