Ignition Problem HELP!!!
I have this problem with my '94 GS-R that I cannot figure out what's causing it. And its driving me crazy. Basically the car sometimes doesn't crank over when I turn the key. It just makes a clicking noise. I had the dealer check it out and they said it was the starter. But we all know sometimes they have idiots working there. I got the starter changed. Everything was fine for a week. Then the problem arose again. I don't believe it's a weak battery because all the lights are still operable and the batter is only a few months old. I read on other forums that it might be something called the "ignitor" But then again it might not be. If anyone experienced this problem or know's what's causing it please let me know. I would greatly appreciate any input to this problem. Thanks
you can actually do a visual inspection of the igniter and see if it's fried or not... at least i did with mine when mine went. might as well replace it if it is, and cap and rotor, too while you're working on the distributor.
