Default Idling high help?

My car idles at 2200 rpm and sometimes drops to 1200. I don't have the Fast Idle Valve since I have an ITR manifold. So I don't know what else it could be, maybe that sensor on the back of the manifold? Could an old Air Temp Sensor be at fault?

Adjust the idle adjust screw on the throttle body. Clockwise will lower your idle and CounterClockwise will increase your idle.

Check for vacuum leaks..Also may check your PCV and your TPS.

Is it throwing codes?

It's not the PCV valve and it's not a broken Air Temp Sensor, and I don't think it's a leak, because I can't find where there would be one and sometimes the idle goes up and down - a leak would be at a constant level I believe.

I think it's that piece in the back of the manifold, I don't have my manual to confirm the name of that part.

Try the IACV ( idle air control valve)
on the back side of the intake manifold. Its held on with like 2 10mm's and there is 2 coolant lines running to the bottom of it, once you take it off look at the back of it and you will see a 2 holes with a screen on then.
If they are all full of carbon and crap it will screw your idle. Spray some carb cleaner in there and let it evaporate. Once it is all cleaned off reinstall and see if it has made a difference.

Another part is the fast idle thermo valve (FITV) located under the throttle body. You can also pull this one off and clean it out to see if there is any obstructions. You can also order them new from Honda, I have the part #'s around somewhere if you need them.

GOOD LUCK!
