My idle jumps up and down when I start my car when the engine is cold. Goes from like 1000 rpm to 3000 rpm for like 2 seconds over and over for about 3 minutes til warm. I heard it could be the idle sensor or whatever its called but noone knows for sure. Makes a good looking car look bad, you know what I mean. HELP!!!!!

 

i know on my civic i had the same problem. it's the IACV....idle air control valve. and the FITV controlls idle after the car has warmed up. thats Fast Idle Thermo Valve.

i think this is correct, i may have the two switched around. not positive. but this should help you in searching around htech to find others with the same problem
