I dont know about you guys but my cup holders are completly useless!!! I was thinking about building some but I would like your input.

 

Yes, they are useless... but I never had big drinks in my car in worries that it would spill and get on my seats, carpet, etc. I always had a water bottle in the car though. No worries about spillage

 

I normally keep a 20oz soda with me and by the time i get to where im goin its flat from rollin around the car

 

I think any mod to make your car more user friendly is awesome. I hate my cup holders and would like to do the same. I always buy those big cans of arizona tea and they wont fit in mine. You spend the most time in the cabin of your car so upgrading to better cup holders would be something that you could really appreciate. I will be checking this to see what you come up with because im searching my brain for the same thing.

 

My arm rest is my cupholder,stuck a stress ball in there to keep it wegded havn't spilled yet.

 

I think I'm gonna fab up a cup holder that is molded to the door? I have held cups by the center consul and jus cant seem to find the "sweet" spot for a cup holder....

Thats a good idea but im a big guy and that would prob hit my leg. I wonder if you had a spare console if you could buy a single big cupholder and glass it to the side of the console, then smooth it and paint to match the rest of the plastics. Maybe one on each side of the console. I wouldnt try it if it was on my only console. Just a thought.

 

I might suggest to cut away the pocket that is already there and expand it out like most of the newer cars do. Obviously this will be more work, but will save you some leg room as well.

 

I was thinking about cutting the stoarge thing out. I may end up going that route. As far as the center consul idea I like that idea the most but there is no place for a cup holder only thing I could think of ended up under my right leg witch really I could get used to it if I had too.
