how to replace the streering rack
Its a pain in the a$$ job. If you feel up for it, do yourself, but you still need alignment afterwards. I did mine on a DA cause I didn't want to pay $300 on labor and it sucked. Its good to have another person there to help you maneuver the old rack out and to help you hold the new one up while you bolt it in place. Not an easy job though. If you wanna save money and have a whole day to spare and love cussing, go for it. I do it myself cause I don't trust shops.
thank i feel the same way i friend with a shop i trust him it just the price and labor and the space to do it did you use a car lift or jack stans
I had my car on jack stands so I was on my back and had limited space, Its easier if you have a car lift like the shops. But for a home job, it sucks and is a pain in the a$$. But you save yourself about $300 on labor. Remember you'll still need an alignment though.
the rack cost alone is $180 on ebay all othe place 250 and up with the core return the labor 300 and alignment 60 bucks so will see what happens
