You need to drill out the spot welds. They look like small circular indentations. You can buy a special drill bit to drill them out. If you look at my build thread, you can see how I removed the upper radiator support, but you might as well remove the whole damn thing since it looks too be pretty jacked up.

Item number #10. Good luck

That's a big fat negative. The new radiator support NEEDS to be welded back in, just like, or preferably better than the first one.

Yeah, I second that, weld it. Better safe than sorry. Oh by the way, if you end up getting a welder, get a GAS mig...I made the mistake of getting a gassless fluxcore mig welder and I HATE it.

Good deal on the car by the way, the damn motor and tranny are worth more than the 1500 you paid for the whole car

This forum has a lot of Jokers. They only know wisecracks but I bet they don't
know how to repair anything.

Decatur Racer,
You know what shenanigans mean? Look in the dictionary.
I was a mechanic for 20 yrs., I raced a super stock Chevy for 10 years and I have been
fooling around with cars for 50 years.
I joined this forum about 7 yrs. ago but, like I said, you cannot get a straight answer so I dropped out of this forum. Thinking of doing the same again.
Bra!! you're still wet behind the years. Your age, around 20.
You havn't been around yet.
Don't post an answer. You know what I said is true.
Mahalo and Aloha.
